Petit Pli

A patented, bi-directionally pleated fabric that expands through seven sizes, so clothing grows with the child instead of being thrown away. The pleat has a negative Poisson's ratio - stretch it one way and it grows the other - and the fabric is 100% monofibre and recyclable.

What began as a kitchen-oven prototype is now an internationally recognised materials technology and textiles company.

Knot-tile

An expandable auxetic knit in 100% extra-fine merino wool. It is the insulating layer of a modular wardrobe that grows with the child, and the studio's second material after the original pleat.

Vollebak

Experimental materials work with one of the most advanced adventure-clothing brands on Earth, developed under wraps. The brief that suits me best: an extreme user, and a problem that has to be solved in the material.
